2008 Most Endangered Properties Photography Exhibit
The Providence Preservation Society’s highly acclaimed Most Endangered Properties Photography Exhibit will be on display at Butterfield, 232 Westminster Street, Providence, September 18- October 18. A collaborative effort between PPS and the Arts & Business Council of Rhode Island, the exhibit is a unique way to present preservation advocacy through fine art. The show features the work of Jesse Bouley, Kristin Carlson, Michael Cevoli, Andrew Dernavich, Stephanie Ewens, Adam Hall, Kryzstyna Harber-Caldarone, Scott Lapham, Brian McDonald, Frank Mullin and David Simione.
It opened with a Gallery Night Providence reception on Thursday, September 18, 6:00–9:00 p.m. A closing reception will be held on Saturday, October 18, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Refreshments for both of these receptions will be provided by the North End Café of North Providence. New this year is The Future of the Past: A Preservation Panel Discussion on Wednesday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. and an artists’ talk on Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. (Gallery Night Providence). The exhibit may also be viewed during store hours, Tuesday-Friday 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Sunday 12:00–5:00 p.m.
