26th Annual Festival of Historic Houses
Saturday, June 24 saw close to 1200 tour attendees walking the streets of Downcity Providence for PPS’s 26th Annual Festival of Historic Houses Tour. Great weather, knowledgeable volunteers and a new neighborhood created one of the most successful house tours to date.
PPS Executive Director Jack Gold said, “It was rewarding for me and other PPS staff and board volunteers to see downtown Providence filled with people and to hear the buzz and the palpable excitement about new loft living spaces and the blossoming of a new urban neighborhood.”
Following the tour, volunteers, board members, tenants and staff relaxed at Providence’s Black Repertory Theater for a Downcity Drop-In after party that was filled with great music, a visit from Big Nazo and Mayor Cicilline.
