School Programs

PPS offers educational programs for school and youth groups, which enrich classroom learning in art/architecture/design, social studies, state and local history, and English/language arts. Our approach is rooted in the philosophy of place-based education and prioritizes student engagement with the buildings, places, and stories that shape their communities. All school and youth programs are designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, visual literacy, communication, and collaboration.

PPS educators can facilitate in-classroom programs, as well as excursions within Providence’s many neighborhoods. All school programs can be adapted to fit specific curricular goals, age ranges, or time constraints. We work with K-12 educators, after school providers, and homeschool groups. Let us know how we can help!
