The Providence Public Library is a brilliant example of the American Renaissance style, with its recently restored 1954 Moderne addition fronting Empire Street. The original library was designed by esteemed Providence firm Stone, Carpenter & Willson in 1900 following a design competition. It is reminiscent of the Boston Public Library by McKim, Mead & White. Join us in November and be among the first to see the completed restoration work!
